The FCC or FCA… Some fancy organization told me to tell you that I have to show you a very low-budget and entertaining movie on how to act on a United flight. Basically, if you’ve been around the past 50 years you know how to put on a seatbelt. You can’t be jumpin’ up and down like a jimmy-cricket, and the sooner you watch it the sooner I can push this big mother. Lastly, my young Jedi here says he’ll fly us so I’m going to take a little nap while our copilot does everything. Relax. Anyone doesn’t know what I said, find the nearest southerner and ask for a translation.

See that windowed deck/bar that goes across the front and hangs over the sides some? I’d put a moving red light in there to make it an ocean cylon or an ocean Knight Rider.

On the 7th Avenue side it said “Expect Looong Delays,” but I guess that wasn’t considered appropriate so it was changed to “Expect -Long- Delays.” On the San Lorenzo side it still says “Looong.”

He was having fun with tennis and then he wanted me to demonstrate bowling. I was careful to avoid the conference room table, but in the third frame my hand hit my badge that was hanging from my right hip in its hard plastic case. It didn’t hurt much so I didn’t bother with it, but then I happened to see blood on it a few minutes later. My knuckle took abou t15 minutes sto stop bleeding from the slice.

I know it’s minor compared to what you see on wiihaveaproblem, but I had to share.

Anyway, another great album from Al! All the songs are great and the flip side is a DVD. The DVD has 6 music videos, the one for White & Nerdy, and 5 animated other ones. Also surround sound mixes of the album and karaoke mode! Oh yeah, there’s video of Al in the studio too.

I’m going to be listening to this all day!

The other day I decided to search to see if any information was out there for the TRS-80 Color Computer. My first computer was the TRS-80 Color Computer. You can see a picture here but the information isn’t quite correct since ours came with 32K RAM. The CoCo2 was just a smaller package and nicer keyboard. The CoCo3 offered a faster processor, more memory, and better graphics. How much better was it? People are still hacking away on it! In 2000 a game similar to Castle Wolfenstein 3D was made for it. Sure it was low resolution, but this is a 2MHz processor we’re talking about here and it does it! People have also built IDE controllers for it, SCSI controllers, someone is working on ethernet. It makes me want to pull out the computer, get this stuff, and start playing again!

Why does this add to my nerdiness? I still have mine all boxed up in the shed because I can’t bear to throw away my first computer and I went to two conventions centered around these computers when I was in high school.

Then down by Aldo’s at the yacht harbor (they serve dinner now) two little girls were selling jewelry they made. After we passed them on the way out we heard them start calling “Jewelry for sale” but it kept getting louder and louder like there was one specific person they were targeting (it wasn’t us). Finally it was up to full blown yelling and screaming “JEWELRY FOR SALE!!!!!!!” I’m thinking they’re going to be going for a swim in the yacht harbor today.

Church tragedy: The pastor of a Texas church was electrocuted this week when he grabbed a microphone while standing in a baptismal pool. About 800 people watched helplessly as the Rev. Kyle Lake, 33, of University Baptist Church in Waco, began flailing after he stepped into the waist-deep water. The woman being baptized had not yet entered the water, and was not hurt. The church was more crowded than usual because it was homecoming weekend at nearby Baylor University. “He was grabbing the microphone so everyone could hear,” said one church goer. “It’s the only way you can be loud enough.”

Monday morning while I was taking my scooter out of the backyard I saw an old guy on his electric cart by the pile and heading back to the sidewalk. When I left for work a few minutes later I saw a bowl was gone and a cane was added to the pile. I looked up and down the street but there was no sign of him.

My favorite theory about why he left it is that he took the cane of someone that irritated him and that was the easiest way to dispose of it.

You’re probably wondering buy this point how this is funny at all. Well, it’s trading cards, so there has been a lot of time with people saying things like:
“Do you have any Purpose?”

Or, “I have Drive now, but I’ve lost my Goals.”

Anyway, when we removed all the bricks from the planters Nicole made a 4-brick high wall around part of the driveway. Then she decided she didn’t like it so we put the bricks into the free pile out front. When we started doing that Sage laid down behind the wall, safe. When I took a brick from the area she was laying, making it a 3-brick high wall, she move to a remaining 4-brick section. As the bricks kept coming out she kept scrunching down lower and lower until finally she was trying to hide behind one brick. When I took that brick away she looked kind of sad and upset but then she got up and was happy again.

I wish I knew what she was thinking.
