It’s a girl!
I think she resembles my side of the family…But I hope she gets some of her pa’s awesome attributes like Doug’s nice legs, gorgeous green eyes and his big brain!

Thanks, We’ve decided to name her Olive. But we can’t seem to agree on a middle name. She is going have Doug’s last name which is Jones. So if you think of something throw it out there…

Congratulations! Mazel Tov! Do what nice Jews everywhere do (and other people too maybe? What would I know?) – look to past generations to someone you want to honor. Yes, I’m biased because I like old fashioned names. And, my middle name came from my great grandmother Rose, and I find it a touch stone of sorts. I don’t know how to describe it but it reminds me of where I came from.
That said, it should also roll off the tongue when you’re mad, that combo first-middle. Like … um … Abigail. OLIVE ABIGAIL, YOU STOP THAT THIS INSTANT.
Or Olive Katherine. Or Olive Ann. Or Olive Ursula. Something that rolls together.
It’s a bias, I admit it.
