What a fine and funny film! I really liked how you could see him wake up as the movie progressed and the drugs lost their hold over him and he found new things to enjoy. I know a sequel wouldn’t be the same, but I’d like to see what happens next to these characters. If you haven’t seen it then you should.
One down side is that we rented it when we already have it here, well it’s Darlene’s but all our DVDs are mixed together.

We grilled our hotdogs and heated up some chili for dinner. Then we actually went inside and cleared away enough stuff to watch a movie (Garden State) to make the cat feel better because we decided it’s easier to keep him trapped in the part of the house that isn’t being done. Then made sure the dogs relieved themselves before bed, brought the cat in to the RV for the night.
Sleeping wise it was actually fairly comfortable, though for some reason, maybe Nicole got startled, the dogs and I found ourselves away at 2:30AM. I took them to the back yard to relieve themselves again, just so be sure, and then went back to sleep.

This morning we moved the last few things to the tv room, and moved what we need to live to the RV (like food, tooth brushes, towels). I’m glad that’s done. Now we just need the floor guys to show up and get to work. Next weekend we can work on moving everything back in to place. Good thing I get a week at work to rest.

Now that I’ve finally seen the season finale of Lost I have some thoughts coming to me. Spoilers here…
I think Sawyer will end up dead.
Nicole pointed out to me that the craxy French lady said she heard they were coming for the boy, we didn’t think the boy was Walt though. Is this why Walt knew they had to leave the island? Because his capture was something that was going to or needed to happen?
Locke and Jack confronting each other made me see them as a pair or opposites fulfilling a similar role overall. That made me start thinking about how other pairings go on the island with the characters we know so far. Not in who likes whom, but in the parallels in their roles.
Here’s what I’ve come up with:
Jack – Locke
Kate – Sawyer
Michael – Jin
Sayid – Boone
Hurley – Walt
Charlie – Shannon
Sun – Claire

Moth of our closet is moved, most of the living room is moved, most of the dining room is moved. We still need to move the stuff in our room and Nicole’s room and take care of the misc in the other rooms.
Oh yeah. We also need to move the wood burning stove. It’s awkward and it weighs like 500 lbs. That should be fun.
On the easy side. We finally got a newer, smaller, medicine cabinet for Dar’s bathroom. I hope to install that tomorrow. Also tomorrow I’d like to cut the bottoms off her doors so they can close.

That was tonight’s dinner. I tried it ont he grill but I think without the meat thermometer it wasnt as warm as I would have liked it. It was cooked all the way through and it wasn’t rare, but the connective tissue hadn’t broken down enough. The tater tots were fine of course (new extra crispy!).
I think the fancy electronic thermometer got left at the BBQ so we have to go check lost and found or buy a new one or both.

It’s been a few weeks since I got the new tire and I decided I should check the pressure this morning. It was almost 50PSI!! It’s only rated for 36. I guess that shows it’s a well made tire considering I’ve been abusing it and hitting all manner of bumps. I lowered the pressure to 36PSI and the ride is not as squirrelly now. Before it felt like I was riding on a narrow ridge, which essentially I was.
Then I check the front tire for the first time (it doesn’t take much abuse since there isn’t much weight on it, it just hits the bumps first. It was down to 25 so I pumped it back up to 36. It rides much better now.

Put up the towel rack yesterday. Still need to get a medicine cabinet. Put up the doors yesterday. Need to cut some off the bottom of the bedroom door so it can be moved… It’s not just hard to move, it’s stuck.

We were in Marini’s and I saw a bottle of candy bubbles, red (“cherry”) flavored. I had to try them, being a fan of the spray candy.
Spray candy is liquid candy in a spray pump. The beauty is that you feel like you just had candy and it’s such a small ammount that it’s effectively zero calories.
Anyway, I tried them in the parking structure and they held together well enough and thought it would be good for the dogs. We went home and took the dogs out side and blew some bubbles. They were a little nervous at first but after some encouragement they started to go after them. After they got a taste of them they wanted more and then it was just fun watching them leap all over the place trying to get the yummy bubbles! The only problem was the wind making things difficult. Also the bubbles don’t last nearly as long as regular bubbles, but long enough for playing with dogs!

In Santa Cruz you can build a large opaque wall if it is set back 6 feet from the front property line (not counting easements to the city, etc.). You can have a fence on the line as long as it is no more than 3.5 feet high and you can see through it (picket or wrought iron). If you have the wall set back then you need to have the space between the wall and the front line fully landscaped.
I think we’re heading towards a sound blocking wall.
