I’ve been avoiding talking about this unless it’s been directly mentioned. Partially because I just didn’t want to be thinking about it so much, and partially because when I told people about it I wanted as much information as possible. But I’m done with that now. We know all we’re going to know and it’s easier if others know.

Cigarettes today have on average 10% more nicotine than 6 years ago. The brands popular with kids have 20% more.

Saturday my left nostril wouldn’t stop draining. I figured some plaster dust got up there and was irritating things. I went to bed at midnight at got up at 2am Sunday morning because my nose was still a mess and I kept waking Nicole up.

So I watched Moonlighting and Hell Boy and sorted recycling. Then my nose was done by around 8am and at 10am was breakfast. Then came wandering around downtown, followed by taking the dogs out to run around and ordering lighting.

Around 5 or 6PM I felt warm so I checked my temp and found it was 100.4. Monday morning it was in the 99s so I worked from home and it dropped into the 98s by evening. Today it’s back to a more normal 97.4. Now I just need the gunk in my head to go away.

I opened my freezer this afternoon to, what looked like at first a complete frosted mess. My first thought was that the frost-free cycle had broken so I closed the freezer door because I didn’t want to deal with it. Then I decided to look again and realized that I didn’t have to tug against the seal to open it, but it looked sealed and sounded like it closed. I tried closing the door slowly and found that something was blocking the door so it did close, but then would bounce back and hold it the tiniest bit open. I found the obstruction and removed it and then closed the door because I still didn’t want to deal with it.

I just went to go deal with is and scrape the ice out, but as I grabbed for the nearest hunk it collapsed in my hand. Well, collapsed isnt’ the right word really. It offered no resistance and was soft and fluffy like snow!

Yesterday I was on Pacific Avenue waiting for Nicole outside of the cosmetics shopand thumbing through a book. After a few minutes of that I notice a bee is trying to land on me. I quickly move about 10 feet away, which usually gets bees to go about their business. This bee found me again and started another landing attempt. I moved another 30 feet away and still the bee followed me. I moved again and this time it stayed away.

Today I was waiting for Nicole out side of Red Poppy and reading a book on number theory when I look down and see two bees attempting to land on me. I dodged a few times before giving up and going inside. The smells inside the store confused it and it stopped at the doorway.

Was my soap secretly replaced with pollen?

I’m having a go of not taking any allergy meds right now (unless this get really bad). So far it’s working out just fine. I’m sneezing about twice a day and I have to blow my nose occasionally but that’s nothing compared to before I started getting allergy shots. On meds I sneeze about twice a week and pretty much never have to blow my nose. Why did I stop? Well, even though I was nice and dry I was getting some major sinus headaches and I thought they might be related to the nasal spray. Since I stopped I haven’t had any major headaches, just an occasionally a very very minor one that is easy to ignore.

I just looked at a consumer reaction message board for Nasonex and a number of other people started getting headaches after 6 months to a year as well. I’ll have to talk to the allergist about this.

As topteddy was sayng and I was agreeing, a lot of it is that I want to know why he thought I was a nazi? Was it how I was dressed? Was it something I did? Am I projecting this to others? What was it?

All this week I have been going home around 12:30 PM to let the dogs out and play with them a bit before turning around and coming back to work for a 2PM meeting. It doesn’t matter that ever day I’ve come back to find the 2PM meeting pushed to the next day. On my way back to work I hear a bicyclist across the street say something. I can’t tell what he said or who he was talking to so I ignored it and moved on.

A little while later he gets ahead of me because he runs the red light I’m stopped at. Shortly after the light switches to green I caught up with him and he was going pretty slow so I slowed down. Since I ride in the bike lane most of the time I have to wait for openings in traffic to go around. Traffic opened slightly and he hopped into the traffic lane so I took the opportunity to pass him in the bike lane when he yelled out “Nazi!” to me.

I ignored it and went on because I needed to make it to the meeting but it really pissed me off and I really wanted to ask him :WTF?!” I can’t even figure out why he might have so casually thrown that out there. The best I can come up with is he thinks my scooter helmet looks like a nazi helmet, but even so, WTF?! My helmet only has a brim in front and it’s silver and sparkly. I wish I had the time to stop and confront him. I didn’t even know I had this button waiting to be pressed.

I’m ready for the current push for out demo to be done at work. I don’t mind a push when I know the end date, but when it keeps getting pushed back it gets to be more draining than if you had been shooting for the late date to begin with. I want have time to do stuff with the house and start exercising again and spend time with the home folk.

When we left to go to the store last night the dogs wanted to go. We didn’t want them to go so they stayed home, but they decided they would eat something to show their displeasure. When this happens they generally don’t greet us when we come home because they know they did something they shouldn’t have.

In this case they ate the lump of chicken fat and chicken neck from the chicken we just roasted (in a plastic bad in the kitchen sink ready to throw away). I think Grover ate this because he has the more sensitive nose and he could reach it more easily. Also eaten was a wooden spoon; the kind you cook with. It was on the counter because we just got some new ones and the old ones were set out to give/throw away. Not much was left with it and we think Sage ate it because she’ll eat pretty much anything (she once ate couch foam). Also she was acting more hungry than Grover.

We didn’t feed them last night so we could keep an eye on them but they both seem ok this morning even after feeding.
